So today I lost a friend. He was complaining that people wouldn't return his salute no matter what language he used, either German or Arab. Judging from the way he virtually left me and why - because he drew conclusions that weren't intended and I had hit a nerve - , I'm pretty sure I know why he wasn`t greeted, it's not only what you say but more how you say things and people are sensitive enough to hear the actual intention and return the compliments by ignoring him.
