Fire

As a child one of the most bewildering and frightening passages of the bible to me was John the Baptist talking about baptizing by fire.

Yet yesterday somebody was talking about rage being a better motivation/inspiration for artists than love, which David Hockney has identified as its primary source.

To me rage has long subsided, while love will still burn on.
