I've been thinking a lot about eroticism for several reasons. What I've come to find is that it can but happen when people start perceiving the other/ the fellow as a completely different entity. There is no way you can even touch this but for the miraculous moment when we recognise each other. And in this way the biblical metaphor of "recognition" ceases to be one, the veil is withdrawn, and the recognition becomes the act of conception. To Freud eroticism is the life-giving principle.
