So the recent heavily debated issue if even Germans could see the eighth - in another context the seventh - of May as a day of liberation, left me again wondering at the predominant Protestant view about such matters especially in, but not restricted to, Germany. In a Catholic context there are certainly means that would even present to the perpetrator an instrument to liberation from her/ his sins or errors.
