"Burgundian" a word that in Flemish or Dutch not only describes a geographical area but also the liberal, easy attitude to life predominant in the southern Netherlands and Belgium.

So somebody rememberred his friend, their "bourgondisch" relationship and how they were battling with words, "killing" each other just for the fun of it.
