Back in the 1980s I taped this on cassette from the radio and I do recall the comment that had also been taped: "Een beetje maf, mar wel leuk./ A little bit daft but nevertheless fine." And it still is because it definitely has its moments.
"......Be what it is, The Action of my life is like it, which I'll keep if but for sympathy."

Point of View
So Flip Kowlier needs less input and listens to French radio because he doesn't speak the language well and to raindrops.
I love to listen to Flemish radio because the musical choice is much better than any German station I know of and when it comes to the news it's quite nice to listen to a different view sometimes. Plus everything important happening in Germany will be on the Flemish radio as well and sometimes or rather once there actually was one news item concerning the (German) village I live in. When somebody, probably Dutch, left behind a new born infant at somebody's doorstep in the main street.

All Souls
Herman de Coninck's epitaph:
"Daar moet je vandaag voor zorgen. Voor sterfelijkheid./ That's what you must provide for today. For mortality."
The whole poem:
The place
You have not only, to reach the place,
get out of home, but also out of ways to look.
There is nothing to see, and that is what you have to see
to keep everything its very ancient way.
There is now. There is time
to have left something behind the day after tomorrow.
That's what you have to provide for today.
For mortality.

Hineni
"...- the readiness is all." William Shakespeare, Hamlet
For your enjoyment.
I so sincerely know he must be right, especially that this applies to everybody.

Being a Sucker For Some Hint
I have to thank Meneer Berckmans. What a great song and great lyrics!
Committed for insanity
And crimes against the soul
The worst crime that I ever did
Was play some rock'n roll
But the money's no good
Just get a grip on yourself
JMH Berckmans admitted though that he was unable to get a grip on himself because he couldn't be alone.
